Softlips Review and Giveaway - Closed

I'm a Vaseline Lip Therapy girl with tubes of vaseline in the bathroom, purse, kitchen, and next to the treadmill.  I was skeptical when I was asked to review Softlips because I did not think anything could replace my Vaseline Lip Therapy.  Hint:  the outcome of the review is good.

I was sent a nice selection of Softlips Pure Naturals to review.  Right off the bat I liked how there is a natural SPF (15) in all the products.  Softlips says:

pure..is good for your lips and your environmental conscience! leaves graphic

100% Natural lip care line including glosses, tints and a moisturizing lip butter that contains natural mineral sunscreen for added protection. The line also includes an exfoliating lip polish
that buffs away dry lips with organic coconut flakes and sugar.

100 percent naturalFree from preservatives, phthalates, sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, and gluten, and not tested on animals.
The packaging consists of a recyclable card printed with vegetable-based inks

I tried all three lines from the Softlips Pure line (source for all images).  I tried the glosses and tints when I was running, swimming, out running errands, gardening, over and under lipstick.  My favorite was the lip gloss, especially when running and in combination with lipstick.  I put the Softlips gloss on before my run and there was still gloss on my lips long after my run!  (Vaseline doesn't even last my whole run.)  I really liked the gloss over lipstick, it felt like my lips were moisturized and shiny.  The downfall is that when I run I occasionally wipe my mouth with my shirtsleeve and I now have one gloss mark that doesn't want to come out of my shirt (I washed and dried the shirt before remembering the spot was there, so it wasn't treated).  I have a feeling that if you treat the spot before washing it will come out without much work.
The lip balm did not hold up as long while running, but it is still worth getting!  It was my favorite to wear swimming and when I needed something a little more weight.
I tried out the lip polish and loved it!  Although, I don't have much reason to exfoliate my lips during the summer so after trying it out I put it in the closet to await winter.  I love running outdoors during the winter and my lips can take a beating with the cold air.  I think the lip polish will work to keep my lips looking good and hopefully not all chapped.
This skeptic is now a lover of Softlips!  You can buy them at the Softlips website or at your local drugstore or grocery store.  Even better, win yourself a selection of Softlips through this giveaway!

I usually use Aquaphor, but would like to try the softlips...

I don't normally use too much- I went to HS with a girl who was straight up addicted to Soft Lips to the point where it freaked me out a little. It was always in her hand. She musta went through three tubes a day!

When I do use it, I use Burts Bees, but I would be up to try something new. :)

I don't like too much gloss so I would be very interested in the stick!

I found out that they had about a zillion flavors. But papaya sounds fantastic. And I love that they have SPF.

I wish I had some great advice for good-looking lips. Unfortunately, I'm just a chapstick girl. But, it has SPF which I think is really important. If I'm going somewhere I feel I need to make a good impression, I'll swipe on some lip gloss. But I hate the really sticky stuff; especially when my hair sticks to my lips. Ick.

I keep my lips looking good by expholiating them and making sure they are soft and smooth. I also put on lipbalm that has a coolking sensation to rehydrate them. I also put on lipstick that is cruelty free so my lips stay shiny! I also use lipbutter to keep them soft

Visited the Softlips website. Mostly what I learned is there are considerably more variety in their products than I ever realized. I've been a big fan of the products for years, as they're the only one that can keep my lips soft and not chapped and flakey. It was very cool to learn they're doing tinted glosses now. I'm looking forward to trying one out!

To keep my lips looking good is quite a challenge. During the summer and winter months I get chapped and horribly flakey lips. They're constantly peeling and it drives me nuts. Normally I'd use an olive oil and brown sugar scrub to exfoliate my lips once every few days, followed up by daily use of Softlips. I'm hoping that the lip polish will do the trick. Sounds much less messy than my regular mix!

I love the fact that they have spf in their products! I think lips are often ignored when it comes to sun protection!

Never realized you could exfoliate your lips. Kind of cool sounding. And a great tip to remember once winter comes.

My go-to product for my lips is Burt's Bees lip balm. Love that stuff.
