I read one thing on Facebook and all of a sudden I'm changing my weekend plans. No longer so I get to have a relaxing run on Friday, deal with preschool and kindergarten, enjoy Friday Family Fun. No longer am I working on Saturday morning, booking it to coach soccer, picnicking for lunch and then watching a soccer game.
I'm taking someone's spot on the Ragnar Relay NY. We leave Friday at 6 am. HELP! What do I need to take??? Advice? Comments? Questions? On the other hand, please...no questions.
By the way: I'M EXCITED!!!

Yayyyy...Our 2nd relay!
you're going to have such a blast! ok I'd suggest...
-water. you never know when you're going to find some
-extra socks
-stuff for all forms of weather. Ours was freezing at night and hott during the day
-two pairs of shoes (in case it rains during one leg you wont have to wear wet shoes during the next one)
-snacks that are easy on your stomach
-an outfit for each leg and some "hang out" clothes
-music/book you will have some serious time to kill
-reflective/light up gear! running at night on roads that aren't closed can be very dangerous...our race required each night runner to wear a vest, blinking light, and head lamp
-baby wipes. will feel really good to get some of the sweat off.
-a pillow of some sort
-a sense of direction (which I clearly didn't bring along on mine)
hmmmm that's all i can think of right now but I will definitely get back to you if i remember anything else.
